New to NX-D and need help.

When I convert my RAW images to tif and then open the the tif version there are always two copies. One is regular size and the other is small and embedded in the upper left corner. When opened in GIMP, I have to drag the small one to the trash. Very tedious. How do I keep from having these double images. Thanks for any suggestions
