Flickr for me (here's my photostream:  PrettyCranium | Flickr ).  I like the huge amount of space, and it is so rewarding to get "favorite" or comments.\

I've also tried 500px, which seems to be the new up and coming thing.  I get a little discouraged with it because it seems to cater to professionals, and I tend not to get comments or "likes."

wow that caterpiller has such vivid colours, though the other insects have gave me false itches.. lol

You certainly have perfected the feel and look of the dolls, very clean and sharp images.

Its actually sometimes hard to distinguish what is full size and whats not..page 5, i was looking twice to see if the lady in blue top was actually a doll or not..lol Excellent

Ha, are you talking about my photostream?  Thanks for the compliments.  I was thrilled to find the caterpillar, he was a good subject and very docile.  Thanks also about the dolls, I want to use them for portrait photography  They are 1/3 scale.  I don't know about posting them to most sites because some people find dolls "creepy."  I suppose people might find the bugs creepy too!

I share an account with a few others over on SmugMug. We're all long time friends and split the annual cost between us. if we sell some pics the profits go to reducing the annual subscription... anything left over and we go out over the holidays and have dinner and drinks. Most of the shots are mine but that's primarily because I don't have any children so I have the most free time to go on shoots AND process/upload images LOL I like SM even though the annual costs are now very high. It's a full featured site with lots of flexibility on how to present, share and sell your images.

For my attempts at photography, I use SmugMug.   For other random and senseless pictures that I post on the internet, I use photobucket.

I mostly use Flickr, Its free and I really only post my better pictures there. I recently starting using 500px to see how that site is. There are definitely many very skilled photographers on 500px.

SmugMug mostly for sports and other similar shoots.  Shutterfly mostly for other stuff, but will probably try Flickr or some other sites for some of my other shots and family photos.

BeerBelly recomended on this forum drivepop.com As he said 30 $ per year for unlimited space. I didn't try it yet but I think it is a good proposition for storage.

Ha! They are not for everyone, for sure! Especially the "anime" style.

Thanks about the beasties, it has been really fun taking shots of the creatures living in my house and garden.

Have been using Flickr for the past couple of years, but having read some of the comments in this thread, think I may consider other sites in the future.

Consider Smugmug.com.

Basic membership cost is $40 USD a year, and the image quality is better than any of the free hosting sites.
