I have had to put aside my Nikon gear for a while until I can get it over to Advance Camera for a look see.  The photos appear to turn out very well, however, I am suspect that there may be an issue the shutter.  What happens when activating the shutter, instead of getting a soft, full sounding activation, it sounds loose and for lack of a better word, clunky and noisy.

It does have over 94,000 actuations, so logic tells me it is just time for a tune up.  Today I had to spend the majority of the day in the hospital for back treatments and was told that now I must really take it easy for the next three days.  My wife can attest to the fact that I am well grounded in that discipline.  :))  I will probably get it over to Advance Camera by this coming Saturday.

If anyone else has had a similar experience, I would very much appreciate sharing.

Kind regards,

Tony

Or even better, perhaps it is time to use a lighter weight shovel to start digging my own gr....

Thank for your comments.  I will of course report on the findings.  I must say that D200 is the most comfortable body with the 18~70mm Lens.  True, it is a hefty set up, but very comfortable nonetheless, and I can get away without using a tripod.  However, that will only be temporary.
