okay i have photo shoot i have 35mm 50mm and first gen 70-200mm nikon for portrait shoot

would like to know what would use to take portraits shoots. i have d5300 also have 35mm 1.8 50mm 1.8 and 70-200mm 2.8 lens what would you guys use to take pictures. also i will be at Florida Tech's Botanical Garden. not sure what time shoot is at but do know its in afternoon before it gets to dark. be some time around 3pm or so. i did go by the place today to test out new flash. also had on my 50mm which about 70mm to 75mm. so what would you used. if knew shot was weds would ask on monday. since told person give me 2 day heads up. but i forgot said wed if weather good. sad part can not share pictures thou would want some help on tell what i did wrong with pictures too.

Since you're only talking about 3 lenses, why not take all three? The 35 is a good lens for environmental portraits (where, you want to show a bit of the background) or where space is limited. The 50 is a good full body or head and shoulders lens as long as you don't get too close. However, the 70-200 will probably be your go to lens simply because it's so versatile.

well when person showed up we just stuck with 50mm which like 70mm one d5300 came out great with ,my altura ap-n1001 flash. but what she wanted for brightness was to bright . had to show from computer what it looked liked. since she thought was on view screen was right. so had to show why i brought computer to do proper editing. also was great just using the 50mm only. since made easier to get pictures done faster. if she would gave me 2 day heads up could use info some people gave. since saw it after i done shoot.

was at one in Melbourne fl and i took pictures from there she used for her real estate. here the picture since she posted i can not post other since she client also facebook cropped it so not full size. since do not have number to picture i post one she posted
