Hello I'm looking to upgrade my camera to a Dslr i've always used Compacts. i've been looking at the Nikon D3400 , the D5300 and the D5600 . which one would you recommend for a beginner ? I know that the D5300 was released in 2013 but does this matter ? and what lens kit would you recommend ? I was thinking of a 18-55 that comes as standard and a 70-300mm

Cheers guys I shall look forward to your replies

Kind Regards

Sean

Welcome to the forums!

Do you see any need for the refinements in the D5600? If not, get the D5300.

The 18-55 is a good little kit lens.

Are you sure that you need 300 mm on the long end? The 55-200 is dirt cheap.
