Hello,

I currently own a D3400 and have a standard 18-55mm kit lens.

I am going to Silverstone in June to watch the formula 1 race.

I am looking for a lens that will allow me to take some good action shots.

I have seen the 70-300mm AFP DX f/4.5-6.3G ED VR and looks a good lens but i understand that at the 300mm zone the sharpness is lost and it best performs arounf the 200mm area.

So my question is, would i be better to go for the 18-200mm AF-S DX f/3.5-5.6G ED VRII? Or will i get the same issue at 200mm with softness?

I dont have a big budget, otherwise i would go for a more expensive lens!

Any help or adivce is appreciated, or what lens would you say I would be better having.

On my estimates, 200mm should be enough from the view point i will be at to get a good shot.

Thanks.
