Adorama Camer has a new D600 with kit lens for $1599. And unfortunately I'm still one paycheck away.

That's always what ends up happening if you want to get a camera while it's current, though!  I paid full price for my D800 too

sure that was a new lot or a refurbished set as i recall this week the 600 being offered around that price with a lens but was a rebuild

Anyone with the yearn for a FF Nikon and the cash should seriously go for one of these - or upcoming even better - deals, the camera is great and the dust issue is (usually) overblown, except if you get one of the truly bad samples. Or that's my sense of it anyway.}

I almost jumped on this deal, but I didn't need that lens, and certainly didn't want to deal with the oil/dust issues.  It was very tempting though...

dont get fussed over the dirt issues, i still don't know why everyone is crying over this issue if your really worried about sensor dust etc, get yourself a point and shoot with large zoom, its an slr they are going to have contamination no matter what you do with it

I did this deal. It was new. No oil so far, but <100 shots so far.
