Relationship between the Photo Shooting Menu and the Custom Settings Menu

The Focus sections in both the Photo Shooting Menu and the Custom Settings Menu contain settings related to the camera's autofocus system.

The Photo Shooting Menu contains essential autofocus options, including:
- Focus Mode (AF-S Single AF, AF-C Continuous AF, and MF manual focus)
- Focus-Area Mode (Point AF, Single point AF, Dynamic area AF (S/M/L), Wide area AF (S/L/C1/C2), 3D Tracking, and Auto Area AF)
- AF Subject Detection Options (Auto, People, Animals, Vehicles, and Off).

The Custom Settings Menu contains "set them and forget them" adjustments for autofocus, including:
- AF-C priority selection
- AF-S priority selection
- Focus tracking with lock-on
- Focus points used
- Store points by orientation
- AF Activation
- Focus point persistence
- Limit AF-area mode selection
- Focus mode restrictions
- Focus point wrap-around
- Focus point display
- Built-in AF assist illuminator
- Focus peaking
- Focus point selection speed.

The Photo Shooting Menu's autofocus options are very important and change for most shooting scenarios, while the Custom Settings Menu only provides specific options for specialized situations. Once I set the Custom Settings Menu selections, I don't often go back and change those.
