My lens is to slow. f.5 f stop. I want to stop the wings. It is hard to capture these guys with manual focus. Can I do anything in post production?

What were your settings for these?

ISO?

aperture?

shutter?

You could try using Aperture priority, setting the aperture to what you need and then setting ISO high enough to get a high enough shutter speed. It will probably give some noise in the photo, but noise is better than unsharp images because of movement. I don't remember if it is a D2H or a D2Hs you have, but the D2H can be used, with noise reduction in post, up to ISO 1250 or so and the D2Hs up to 5000. They won't be noise-free, but not disturbingly noisy when de-noised with Nik Dfine or Noise Ninja.

These images I was on shutter priority. I am now on aperture priority mode. The latest post after this one. I can't figure out how to adjust the shutter, and every time I turn up the ISO, the shutter is super slow. To tell you the truth Peter, I never futz with the ISO that much. Every time I do, the camera is slow, it takes a long exposure. I don't think I get all the cool stuff because my lenses are manual lenses. I'm like a hybrid dude. Newer camera, old techniques. HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHA!
