Sometime before this Sunday night, 16 March, post the best photo you have taken this week. Any subject, any style--just give us your best shot.
Hoping this will encourage everyone to get out there and shoot!
PS: If you can, list your EXIF info and any special lighting setups you may have used.

This is from Sunday, two days ago.
We were in downtown Phoenix and saw this on the side of a building in the Arts District.
While it is wall art it is also an ad for a flower company. It needs to be repainted, but still better than just a side to a building.

Body: D700
Flash: SB-910
Lens: MicroNikkor 105/4 AI'd
Aperture: f/16
Shutter: 1/250
ISO: 200
One flash camera right @ about 2 o'clock, horizontal, controlled via CLS, internal reflector set to 35 mm. Flash-to-subject distance ~25 cm, flash-to-lens axis ~30 cm. SG-31R on camera to cut the pop-up flash completely.
Background is a black velvet, but could just as well have been black cardboard or muslin

This is exactly why nobody wants to post in these things.
Very nice work.

Yep, I was thinking I'm really going to have to step up my game if I don't want my work to look silly next to all these great photos. So far this week I haven't done much I want to show off! This is exactly why nobody wants to post in these things.
Very nice work.
But I guess that's the purpose, eh? To get us out there and stretching a bit...

I agree, I think the main focus is to get us out there improving on what we know and how to improve I particularly like having the metadata listed.
We need to be encouraging each other with helpful hints and "atta boys", not discouraging remarks.

Taken on Thursday at The Power Plant - a light show set up in the local botanic gardens as part of the International Festival of the Arts presently on in Wellington, New Zealand. A bit of a sneaky one as it was meant to be no photography.

OK...this isn't as easy as it sounds
Here's mine for this week...got to shoot a lacrosse scrimmage yesterday and I like the action this shot has in it...I'll post a series of some lax photos later this week...Didn't get to shoot any baseball...was planning on 4 games this weekend but field (3.5 hours away) was not playable yesterday. Thought about going today, but with the weather forecast, decided against it...good thing - they played the first and stopped mid way through game 2 because it was snowing too hard!

Oops! Got busy AND sick and forgot to post last night!
So I didn't take many photos last week, and those that I did were pretty mediocre. Nonetheless, since I started this challenge, I guess I'll have to suck it up and just post what I can, embarrassed though I may be.
This was taken for an assignment for Project 52 Pros--had to make an image showing the effect of weather on people (very general, oversimplified description)

I like it Nicole!
Thanks! You're very kind. I was blown away by the quality of the images we received on this little challenge. We've got some great photographers in this forum. Your lacrosse photo is an excellent capture of emotion and action!

I've never seen a bat that pink. It does fit your assignment to a tee. I actually took a photo for this challenge, but got busy yesterday and forgot to put it up.
