In my camera bag I have a Promaster AF19-35mm lens but I also have a Nikon AF-S 18-140 lens. My question is with the Nikon lens' abilities, do I need the carry the Promaster?
Thanks
Johnny

I don't own either of these lenses, but my gut feeling is to leave the Promaster at home.
Unless it's a total dud, the Nikon lens should be more than sufficient, and the quality should also be much better.

Keep the Nikkor. It covers 28-210 (in a full frame 35mm equivalent), uses ED/ Super ED glass, 1 aspherical element to control distortion, has vibration reduction, internal focus, and is a very fine lens. The Promaster is a budget lens w/ a restricted range w/ nothing special about it.
