In manual mode with my d750, the front and rear dials controlling aperture and shutter speed are not responsive when I turn them. Any trouble shooting suggestions?

What lens?  Not all lenses work with those dials...

If removing and re-inserting the battery does not solve the issue, these cameras can be set to Factory default settings by pressing the reset switch as outlined in the camera's user manual.

Note that this will reset the time and date stored in the camera and the correct time and date will need to be set again.
