Hi,
I have recently purchased a D5600 and a Rode Stereo VideoMic. I used it to record footage of some bands at a gig I was playing and have found the sound quality to harsh when playing it back. I have tried to edit the sound quality to salvage the footage, but I think it is beyond repair. The best I can guess is that the microphone was too powerful for my camera and is causing it to clip a lot. I recorded the footage with the lowcut function on the microphone turned on, however didnt do anything to adjust the camera volume settings.
I was wondering if the best thing to do is to reduce the volume on my camera, or if there is something else that I could be doing?
If anyone has any recommendations on settings it would be much appreciated.
The music I am recording is mostly heavy rock, however there is other genre's as well, if this makes a difference with settings etc.
Many thanks
Dave
