So we currently have v1.40 firmware for the Z6ii, the Z6 is on version 3.4 and the Z9 is now on 2.1!
Has ANYONE heard of rumours of another update for the Z6ii primarily with the autofocus. My issue is that when tracking subjects, the tracking box is rather large and does tend to wander around on it's own. If Nikon could improve this, with both a smaller tracking box AND a stickier box, I'd be absolutely delighted!!!
Oh and incidentally, I know that all of this has been mentioned before but I think sometimes, we as a community need to push a manufacturer to keep coming with the updates.. if we sit here quietly waiting, it's going to be a VERY long wait as they will see us as content and therefore not in need of these updates. The more we push, keep asking the question and drive them a little bit nuts, the more likely that a good update will arrive, not like 1.4 which is decidedly poor as updates go.

okay this question get ask a lot. do not expect any of fen 1 or gen 2 Z6/Z7 models will never be able to get what Z9 has af. since it use different chip and does not have same one as Z9. your going to have to live with what both gen 1 and 2 of Z6/Z7 have. i own Z6 and i learned to live with autofocus and other flaws. also main reason trying to get Z9 not from ebay or any other people will try to get one from KEH or two big camera store from nyc or my local store when one comes in for sell
