Re Firmware, I am updating my Z7ii Camera from V1.20 to V1.30

I notice too that the lens Firmware update is V1.20 (re my lens is a Z 70-200mm f2.8)

Is this lens V1.20 the same as the previous camera firmware V1.20 (so no action required) or do I need to download V1.20 for the lens and V1.30 for the camera ?

If yes, can I load both these versions on to the SD card and do the updates simultaneously or do I have to do, say the camera first and then the lens second ?

Also, when updating the lens firmware I assume I have to have the lens attached to the camera, is that right ?

Hopes this is making sense guys.

If your lens already is using V1.20, then you're good to go on that score.

In my experience with Nikon updates, I've always only loaded the SD card with a single update (lens or camera but not both) at one time...i.e., installed camera and lens updates separately.

Yes, need to have the lens on the camera when installing a lens update.
