Zoom doesn't recognize webcam (but Facebook live does)

Hi --

 

I've gotten my new Z 5 to work as a webcam with FB on a Macbook Pro running Catalina (OS 10.15.7), but Zoom does not recognize it as one of my camera options. I've connected using the USB cable that came with the camera and an Anker dongle (converting from Big USB to USB 3). When I set FB up, Chrome asked to have access to an external drive, which I granted, and it worked. I haven't been able to find a way to grant zoom access to an 'external drive' so I suspect that's the problem.

 

Any suggestions?
