Hi
I have a D800 and after I last cleaned the sensor I wonder if I can have damaged the camera.
There is a piece of metal just below the sensor when you raise the mirror. The part is moved towards you when mirror is down and towards the sensor when mirror is up.
So to my questions.
What is this part doing?
It looks like it’s only connected to the camera on the left side when looking at the sensor.
If I gently move it with a toothpick on the right side, it does not seem to be connected to anything.
Is this correct?
