I purchased a used SB 910 from ebay, in great condition with all accessories  and manual. The manual tell me what batteries I should use, but while I was looking at these flash I read somewhere about recommended recharge batteries that would hold the charge for longer period of time between use. Any recommendation for the rechargeable batteries brand?

Panasonic Eneloops. Varta's Ready2Use and many others use the same technology but self-discharge more. Get a charger that is made for these second generation NiMH cells as older chargers tend to stop charging too early.

I use the black Eneloop Pro batteries. I will try the Ikea that
are said to be the same sold under another brand name.

I use standard Panasonic Eneloops in all of my speedlights and radio triggers. They've worked well but I always carry spares because when they get to the point where they need charging they're apt to simply quit rather than slowly run down the way alkaline batteries do.

Right and that's because of the lower resistance of the
electrochemical compound that makes them recharge-
able and recycle the flash faster.
