Just dipping my toe in the macro waters. Interested in what I might could do with focus stacking.Any recommendations for a beginner for macro tripod heads that won't clean out the bank account? I already have a couple of good tripods.
Thanks

I use either a RRS BH-55 or a Sachtler FSB 6 with a Novoflex Castel-Q focusing rail. I have tried shooting stacked with cheaper heads and rails but find it so much easier with a dependable, sturdy platform. The heads aren't cheap, but after over 10 years of use and abuse, they are still as smooth and precise as when new.
There are two types of macro heads
I suggest strongly the second; it is waaaay more robust, more regular
and controllable, cheaper and yields better, more content results.
