Hi. I recently bought a Coolpix A900, and it worked well for the first month. But now it has become highly inconsistent when I press the shutter button. Typically it will now not take a picture, but every few presses it will take ok - sometimes immediately and sometimes after 2 or 3 seconds delay, often with some flashing of the auto-focus rectangles. And occasionally it takes two pictures on a single press, with a few seconds delay to the second picture. I have tried all the obvious things such as resetting to factory settings, removing the battery for a couple of minutes, trying different settings on virtually every mode, but to no effect, so any suggestions before I return it would be greatly appreciated.

I have exactly same problem after about one month of usage.
Have you found any solution or return it ?

I gave up and returned the faulty camera to Amazon where I had bought it from, and although it was more than a month old I got a full refund less the cost of return postage. After looking again at what cameras were available I eventually bought another A900 four months ago, although not from Amazon. So far it has been fine - fingers crossed! Good luck!
