Hello, I have a Nikon D3400, I was given a Tamron Sp AF Di 200-500mm lens, what kind of adapter would I need to make them work together? The Tamron was used on a Canon camera, unsure of model of Canon. Thx Dan.

They won't work well together. The Canon lens mount has a larger throat diameter and a shorter distance from mount to sensor. There are adapters, but they either don't focus to infinity or have a strong lens that causes lots of image degradation compared to the naked lens on a Canon. The best solution is to sell the lens and buy an equivalent in Nikon mount. Even if it was in F-mount, it wouldn't autofocus on your camera as it doesn't have a focus motor built-in.

If you can't sell it without causing hurt feelings as it was a gift, a Canon Rebel of some kind isn't too expensive used.
