You have a basic gallery space as a member here. I don't remember how large it is, but it is available. If you want more space, a small donation will increase your space. If you don't want to donate, flickr is a good image sharing platform that uses BBCode for hotlinking.

There is a sticky about posting photos in the Post your photos subforum. How to Post Photos on the Forum - Post Your Photos - NikonForums.com

I use or have used Instagram, Flickr, 500px, 1X and Deviant Art. A couple more, like Panoramio (now obsolete), have fallen by the wayside.

I find Instagram great for quick a post.

500px probably has the best photography on the internet with good feedback but little interaction. Great for inspiration!

Flickr is very popular but is almost too big and whereas there is some excellent stuff there is a lot of dross.

1X is a bit pretentious.

DeviantArt is the one I use most. Quality is variable but the good stuff is very good and it's a friendly forum.

I use Smugmug.   I like that you can personalize your subdomain with Smugmug.   I also manage my galleries, albums, permissions/access, watermarks, etc from there.

I use Smugmug as well. I actually learned about it from a mutual friend that Thumper and I have. It's great. You have full control of everything, no ads or dross, good quality, fast uploading times, and it's not expensive at all for a basic account.

I learned about Smugmug from Randy also.   (I have actually learned a lot about photography from Randy).

I guess I want to be sure what you're really asking for. Are you looking for a place to "store" your photos so they can easily be shared across various social media platforms?

If you don't need traffic at the storage site, I'd recommend Flickr. I use Flickr mostly as a place to store my photos so I can share them easily on Instagram, Facebook, and this Forum. You can also share easily to Twitter, Pinterest, and Line. As dogbytes pointed out, it's a pretty crowded site, so don't plan on getting too much traffic there. But if you're just looking for something to make it easier to share on other social media sites, it's great. And free.

FWIW, I also use Smugmug, but it does cost $$.

500px I found terrible, issues with seeing bigger size and revealing the sharpness...

flickr I keep returning to that service.

I wish he would become a member here and contribute some of his knowledge. He is very well versed in the more technical side of it all. Not likely though. He's not A Nikon guy.

I used to use Flickr too. It's probably the best of the free ones.

i am look for place that can post pics on internet but store some of them on it since would like to be able to have photo album to share pics and be able to delete them when i want to add new photo when ever i want. few message boards i use have rules on how big pic can be post on site. so using place to have photo albums i can share with people with be great. and do not get tons of pop adds or opening into new window. since do not want people using get any they should not get. most now have set up if not paid user or someone that join free version get adds or pop adds or open into new window. want to make safe for everyone to use. since some people from my paintball boards will have kids looking at them too. sucks that to many site now come with adds or opening in to new window. since out to make buck since to many people want to use free version. i know they need to make money. but do not at cost of causing people to adds or windows opening up to where causes some computer get issue. not many people keep up there virus programs to stop malware of virus.
