Hi,

I have a Nikon Coolpix S9400 which has given me excellent service for just under 2 years. Now the monitor on the back of the camera has gone blank.  The camera will still take photos and I can view those photos when I connect the camera to my PC, so the camera is not completely dead.

But what is actually in the frame is just guesswork.  Does anyone know if there is a way to reset the camera to "factory defaults" to see if that wakes up the monitor again?

The manual does tell me how to reset the camera but that involves going through the menu but I can't see the menu because the monitor is blank.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

John
