I am in the process of ordering a new Mac for the purpose of editing video files from my Nikon D750 and wondering what software or program you use or recommend to do this?

I use the photography package from Adobe that gives you Lightroom and Photoshop for $10 a month.

So, ignore this, I so missed the video part...

I've used Sony Vegas since it was Main concept. It's expensive, but there's a reason you'll find it in most TV stations.

I think I used iMovie for the one video I shot back when I had my D600 bodies...There was no major work involved...my son needed a video of him doing something for school...it worked out OK...added title and ending screens with the video in the middle...

you can also use DaVinci Resolve from blackmagicdesign.com. Its a free download but is a fully functioning broadcast edit and colour grading application. Its also Mac /PC compatible.
