Nice kick.
I like that...over here there was a story about a Dad shooting down a drone that someone was flying over his daughter who was tanning in their yard...probably would not have made the news if it wasn't for the gun-fearing media...
I've been thinking of adding a drone to my list of "wants" but am kind of waiting to see what kind of regulations they put on them first...

The judge ruled in favor of the dad's countermeasure too. Slippery slope that one. I see problems on all sides of that one.
I have thought that a great countermeasure to intrusive drone pilots would be dogfighting with your own drone (or fleet of drones). I think that would be funny. Those guys with the high dollar rigs are not going to want you to be buzzing or kamikaze'ing their drones. (And then in steps the FAA......again).
That or some tech genius electrical engineer comes up with some home built device that either hacks/overrides the signals to the drone from the controller or just jams it altogether, or a device that has more or less an EMP effect on the drone. Then we'll see FCC regs start popping up.
The soccer ball was awesome though. Loved that.
Some cut of meat should earn what "media" is. It is a plural word and that would include his typed bits of "wisdom." To trash ALL the media is quite inaccurate of course. The NRA has its own media devices, after all.
The areas of the UK you can fly a drone legally are shrinking drastically with every new bit of legislation. Most of London is out, of course, especially anywhere near the airports. A couple of years ago I was tempted, now I doubt it'd be worth the hassle.
