Here's another long exposure I made a few months back. This was taken from an overpass in Stanley Park, Vancouver BC that overlooks the Lions Gate Bridge and the North Shore mountains. This was taken with my D7000 using my 50mm 1.8D and a 25 second shutter speed.

Nicely done, love the star effects on the lights, I'm guessing f/22?

That bridge picture is beautiful greatscott94. Really like that one.
I haven't played with long exposures much, unless I'm around a campfire.
That's a really cool photo. Thanks for sharing.

These are all awesome pictures...great stuff.
This is a small overflow at a local lake in Milton Keynes over a 5 second exposure to give the water that silky look!

Took this one of Friday... not completely happy with it, the high fog made seem'd to add some banding and light refraction (could be something else, not completely sure what it is) to the photo. Oh well it's still neat...
Oh and for settings f10, 55 seconds, 200mm and 100 ISO.
I suspect I should have increased my f-stop and reduced my shutter speed, still new to long exposure.

I haven't done a lot of long exposure shooting. Still experimenting with it. Some time ago, I bought a neutral density filter and since then I've tried it a few times, mostly with undesirable results. Today, I went to a water fall and tried it out again...tried many different combinations of shutter speed and f-stops until I got the results I like. Still had to make some adjustments in Camera Raw....someday, I'll get it right on. Here's one of the photos from today I'm pretty happy with after some adjustments. I'm totally open to suggestions.
