Hello everyone,

I just bought for 10$ the Nikon EM attached with a 50mm Æ’1.8 Series E.

I already have the Minolta X-700, with OK lenses...

As the Nikon EM doesn't look like a very fun camera (fully Automatic), I wish I could have an adapter for me to be able to use my new 50mm on my Minolta body.

I also have some few good glass that I probably could use on this camera as well.

Do you know what exact adapter I should buy, and what do you think of that combination ?

Thanks !!

I have never seen an adapter like that. The throat diameters are probably too similar as the difference in register distance is only 3 mm. That means that the lens would have to be moved away from the film plane and a lens used in the adapter to achieve infinity focus. There are adapters that go the other way, but then you need the adapter lens element anyway.

I would love to see Minolta MD lens adapters for Nikon bodies but alas, there apparently are none to be found. In fact the only adapter I've ever seen for Minolta is the M42 adapter Minolta used to sell to use screw mount lenses on MC/MD bodies. There may have been adapters to mount older lenses on Minolta AF bodies but I've never seen them.

Peter may have hit on the reason. I have no idea myself. I do know that there are millions of good to great Minolta lenses out there collecting dust ... and gawd knows what else.

Md lenses on Nikon is possible, fotodiox make an adapter for $40. It can be found here. It has a lens in the adapter, but fotodiox has a good reputation.
