I am a NEW Member and keen to make this site interesting --  I have been posting words and photos in 'Other Makes' section but now it seems when  I try to post a Photo it says 'Too Big'  although I have made them only 800 pixels -- then  I saw an 'allowance' thing where I was 'allowed ' only a photo of about 47 KB -- very small File Size !  I REDUCED photo down to less and it 'posted' then I had 'Run Out' of Allowed upload space  Please Advise as I want to keep supporting this Site

PS -- Down BELOW on this post it says 'You can Upload up to 3.53 KB of Files' !!!!

Do you have gallery space available? You can use BBCode to post gallery content in your forum posts.

Direct uploads and gallery uploads are separate.

You can use external hosting and use BBCode to link your files.

If you make a donation, you will get unlimited gallery space for a while.

AH !!!  Thanks for helpful Reply -- i THOUGHT maybe there was an element of a 'Donation' involved !  I am not sure IF I have 'Gallery Space as I HAVE posted in the various ;Galleries' already. I DO have my Flickr account from where i get my 'Nikon' photos -- I downsize them to 800 pixels into my Computer 'Downloads' and i was able to put several 'Side By Side' in posts . YES - I understand how to use that BBcode or to 'Embed' a photo -- I learnt all that on Flickr.

I ned more 'upload space' on the section 'Other makes' where it seems I have run out of Kilobites !  one 'Trick' I am trying is : find my NIKON Photos Album in FLICKR ---  download photos at 800 pixels to my computer 'Downloads' ---    go to my FastStone Image Viewer software and find the 'Downloads Folder'  -- Click on photos and REDUCE the Kb size dramatically from about 120 Kb to say, 50 Kb and 'Save' THEN upload and I have not used so much KB Allowance and photos still 'look good' . I am trying to get a fellow Camera Club / Flickr Mate to join THIS SITE but if he has the upload allowance trouble to show his photos he will probably not bother and that will be ANOTHER MEMBER you have Lost !

I use this site to host my pictures and embed links here and in other forums.

Imgur: The magic of the Internet

When you upload pictures, use the hidden option and use the bbcode link to embed the pictures in forum posts here.

The last couple of times I posted adverts I discovered that I had to include an image and it had to be posted as an upload, not hosted elsewhere etc. I've yet to figure out how to delete anything from the upload space, so I ended up using very tiny thumbnails. Just trying to get permission to post more ads, but I suspect the remaining space will go pretty fast.
