Hello All,

Have been reconnecting with my love of photography lately.  I came across a Nikon 1 lens (135mm 1:2.8) and was wondering if you can educate me on the availability to mount this lens on F Mount cameras.

I understand there's an adapter to mount F type lenses to a Nikon 1 Camera, but my question is to do the opposite and mount the Nikon 1 to F Mount (D3100, D5000, D7000).  Any information is much appreciated.

I never heard about such adapter - also a quick Google search didn`t show any.

(Provided such adapter exist, pay attention that the Nikon 1 uses CX sized sensors (if I remember correctly those are 2.7 times smaller than an FX, while the DX to FX crop factor is 1.5). As the lenses are designed for a smaller sensor they only cover part of surface (and thereby pixels) of a DX sensor)

I agree with Jerry...I have never seen or heard of an adapter that goes in that direction and I doubt it would be worth making based on the crop factor.  It is a nice lens if you have a Nikon 1 however...

I have a Nikon 1 with most of the lenses produced for that camera. The primes are very good, I especially like my 32 f 1.2. As to a converter, no, pick up the camera, it’s small but excellent.

It is not possible to use a Nikon 1 series lens on a Nikon F mount camera: the distance from the mount to the image sensor is different, the image circle is too small.
