… it seems impossible to have both fov and a focal length that both match the human eye, or eyes. It seems we can achieve one or the other, but not both.
That it does would be a horrible perspective (owl eye!), krag, since both have different
missions and ways to accomplish them.
The fixed eye has a AoV and focal length. Adding orbital movement will increases the
FoV but not the focal length that remains the same. There is a point to pay attention to
here: the movement will not increase the AoV of the eye but of the brain that can me-
morise the whole scene — the added AoV of all the parts in the FoV (field of vision). A
movement and an image memory are essential surviving tools, strategy of our specie.
