I currently have a Nikon D5300 with the 18-55 vrii kit lens and the 35mm 1.8g, and I'm looking to buy a good versatile all-round zoom lens for travelling. I guess I'll mostly be doing street/landscape photography, I know I would be sacrificing the quality of the images but I think I would prefer the 18-300 range so I don't need to keep switching lenses when on the move. My budget is up to around £300 (used) .After doing a bit of research I've been considering these lenses:
Nikon 18-200 vrii
Nikon 18-300
Nikon 70-300 (af-p or afs i'm not sure which one is better)
Nikon 55-200
Nikon 55-300
Sigma 18-300
Sigma 18-250
I also looked at some Tamron lenses but the reviews didn't seem to be very good.
Any suggestions to which lens to get? Or are there any other superzoom lenses you could recommend?

Nikon AF-S 18-140
for the purposes you mention.
While it is a kit lens, it gives fair results while being light weight, small and not to expensive.
For the type of captures you mention I would not use a lens starting at 50+ but rather one with the shortest focal lenght next to 20 (which rules out a few of the lenses above)
If, on the other hand you look for a telephoto zoom, then I’d suggest to go for the Nikon AF-P 70-300 (see my reply in your other post)
I would keep the two aspects (all-around vs telephoto) separate, with two lenses.

As convenience is more important than the ultimate in performance, I would go with the current Nikon 18-300.
The 18-300/3.5-6.3 G IF-ED VR is optically much improved and 280g lighter than its predecessor.
For a travel combo, my choice would be a 16-80 and the FX AF-P 70-300 as the 16 mm FOV is so useful. I like to have a lens pouch in my belt for the lens I don't have mounted on the body when I am out and about with only two zooms. Much mere convenient than using a camera bag.
There is one Tamron that outshines the other third-party offerings as a walk-around zoom. It is the 16-300. The 18-400 fallout666 mentioned is on the heavy side and lacks those crucial 2 mm at the wide end. You can crop in post if the lens was a bit too short but you can't add things that had to be left out because the FOV was too narrow.
The current Nikon 18-300 is a bit better than the competition when it comes to optical performance, but a lens that starts at 16 might be a better choice for you.

The Nikon AF-S DX 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR is a very good walking around lens in my experience. The Nikon AF-P DX 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR is an excellent telephoto. It's a light weight, sharp complement to a D5300.
For a travel combo, I'm currently using a Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC OS HSM Contemporary paired with the Nikon AF-P DX 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR.
