Hello Everyone,

Hope all is well this evening. I have come home from shooting an event, was able to see the previews on the back of the camera all day.

Inserted card into card reader connected to my Mac.

I didn't notice that it picked up the card right away so I removed it (without doing the "eject" process)

Inserted card back into card reader.

It read the card, however some files were accessible (at end of file list), but the majority were not readable.

There is no preview for the files that do not work. Just the icon of the NEF file.

When trying to open the files I get the message: "Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file."

I have been trying a number of different things, such as Stellar Photo Repair/Recovery.

I can see all the files on the card, but instead of a preview the ones that are not readable all have NEF on them.

I also tried Exiftool and pretty much any other kind of tool/converter I could find.

I have never seen this message before, could really use some help in getting those files to be accessible again.

I have attached one of the files, if anyone can figure out a way to get it open it would be a lifesaver!

Thank you,

Dann

Can you view the files on the back of the camera, never used a mac but can you just dump the complete folder on the desk top.

On the Mac you can use "Image Capture" for this purpose. It's part of the standard (pre-installed) Apple software package.
