So I am ready to pull the trigger on a new wide zoom to replace my Sigma 10-20. Originally I was set on a used Nikon 10-24 DX, but see that the Tokina 11-20 is actually a little sharper (and of course faster).
I had no interest in the Tamron SP 10-24 F/3.5-4.5 Di II LD as the Tokina seems to pretty much out perform it, but now we have the new 10-24mm F/3.5-4.5 Di II VC HLD. It has some cool additions including better autofocus with full time manual focus override (instead of the Tokina's clumsy clutch), electromagnetic aperture, VC, and of course the TAP-in hub.
I'm aware Tamron seems to be hitting out of the park with some of these new designed SP models so the question is has anyone played with one of these yet (or am I to be the guinea pig)?
