I agree with NS, the controls and ergonomics are more important to me than any tech specs. In this regard Sony is years behind. If I gotta fumble with it, I'm tossing it!
If you are talking about the A6x00 range of camers then yes. But the A1/9/7 series has more controls than you could ever want. People talk about how bad the Sony menus are, well I haven't seen the menus in nearly 3 years of Sony ownership. Set the camera up and there is so much customisabilty that there is absolutely no need to go into the menu.
And people saying they don't need progress and can use their current cameras just fine.... I almost feel like I am back at Pentax Forums. Nikon may as well just stop making new cameras and sit back unitl they go out of business.
I personally hope Nikon (and Canon) follow suit anbd release a flagship mirrorless camera. These are not supposed to be for everyone. But every brand needs an aspirational product for their users to lust over. The D5/1Dx is no longer that product.
