I had hoped to see some of what you people like. In lieu of that I will post a couple more off my walls. I hope you like them. The photo of New York is old. The other one is something familiar I believe.

#77557 My first and still my favorite Nikon film camera

I have had the same problem. Certain finders won’t fit. After removing the badge, the finder still wouldn’t fit. I was unable to figure this out. Maybe one of the Nikon F experts can shed some light on this.

#77548 Got an F4e

Posted by Larryc001 on 14 February 2022 - 06:42 PM in Nikon Film SLRs

Good choice. I am beginning to believe Ken Rockwell’s opinion that the F4 was the best film camera that Nikon ever made. I recently purchased a $20 body from eBay which was missing a lot of parts. So I went ahead and bought an MF-23 back and an MB-23 battery case. It had already a DP-20 but no screen so I still need one of those. So being ocd and crazy as hell I went ahead and bought another complete body with MB-20 battery. I haven’t received it yet. Once I get one working I am going to get a roll of film out of the fridge and shoot some. Can’t wait.

Do you have your or someone else’s photographic art on your walls? If so I would love to see some pictures of what you enjoy seeing every day. I will post a picture of one such display in our tv room. I love black and white so I have chosen to put these up. The top two were taken by my brother Robert “Bob” Christopher. The one of the church was taken by my father Les in Claresholm Alberta in the 1940’s. I really don’t have much on my walls that I have taken. I look forward to seeing what you have. Larry.

Sorry these aren’t my firsts. But they are sort of like my firsts. Also Nikon since about 1972. Larry

#77533 Can modern lenses be used on F4

This is probably common knowledge but new to me. My question is can the lenses for my D600 be used on my F4? Will they autofocus? Thanks in advance. Larry

#77517 Focusing Screen for F4 - interchangeable?

Posted by Larryc001 on 13 February 2022 - 06:17 PM in Nikon Film SLRs

I have an F4 body with no focusing screen. So I tried an F2 screen. It wouldn’t fit, it was too big. I have read that the F3 screen fits but may have some issues with autofocus. There are dozens of screens for sale on eBay but expensive. Cheapest with shipping looks like $50 US +.
