Hello Photograhers,

I have been trying to figure out why back button focusing is apparently the preferred method of focusing for many photographers. I have tried it and gone back to focusing with the shutter button half way down because back button focusing just was awkward for me. But I am taking an astro landscape photography class soon and the instructor is insisting on it.

Please help me to figure this out. I have a Nikon D750.

No there was not a flash symbol active. I tried raising and lowering the pop-up flash and cleaning the hotshoe contacts... to no avail. Shutter speed still can not go above x200. I am now thinking the camera is broken.. bummer. But thanks so much for your help.

Now I have a new problem with my Nikon D750! The shutter speed will go below x200 but not above in Manual Mode or Shutter Speed Mode. It will go above that in Aperature Priority Mode.

I have tried everything that I know including calling Nikon. Do any of you great Nikon people have a clue what might be going on.

I have not been using a flash but I have been taking long exposure photos using bulb and have set the U! and U2 positions to bulb.

Please anyone.....

I have a D750 camera and I just bought a

AF-S Zoom-Nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8D IF-ED lens

I can not set the aperture within the camera. I have to use the aperture ring on the outside of the camera to set the aperture. 

When I went to the camera store, the sales person put the lens on a Nikon D750 and he was able to change the aperture in the camera. Was on the phone with Nikon for over an hour and they could not fix it either. Very weird.

Yes I have tried it locked at f22 and unlocked at f22 myriad times. We have set all the settings to the default settings a few times also. The person at Nikon also had me do things that had no effect like taking out the memory cards, taking out the battery and removing the lens then visa versa to no avail... Last thing was I asked Luke at Nikon to ask all his Nikon buddies if they have suggestions and I have not heard anything... very frustrating.. thanks for you interest. Elizabeth

Hello I am trying to find someone to pay them to help me figure out how to use the AF-S Zoom-Nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8D IF-ED lens with my NIkon D750. I have been using other lenses with no problem. On this one I can not auto-focus even though it is set to AF and MA. The in focus beep doesn't even go off. I have googled Nikon specialist, Buffalo New York and nobody comes up. thank you in advance,

Hello, I just purchased  an AF-S Zoom-Nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8D lens for my NIkon D750 Camera and I can not get the in focus beep to work and also I do not understand the aperature ring and how it works. Can anyone help please?
