#67542 Z6 Video - "This option is not available at current settings..."?

Posted by Arno on 23 April 2020 - 07:48 AM in Nikon Z Mirrorless Cameras

Thanks everyone. I figured it out. I switched the camera out of the "auto" mode over to "P." Now I can set the controls. I shot some video in the "flat" setting and then try to adjust color, etc. It was a first effort and it came out better than I had expected. So it seems it's a simple matter of getting out of the "auto" mode.

#67451 Hello from Columbus!

Greetings. I just joined this forum. I got a Nikon Z6, primarily for video. 45 years ago I shot film (16 MM) for TV news. After this long hiatus, the video bug has bit again. I look forward to being part of this community. All the best, Arnie

#67450 Z6 Video - "This option is not available at current settings..."?

Posted by Arno on 19 April 2020 - 10:51 AM in Nikon Z Mirrorless Cameras

Dear Colleagues, I am new to this forum. I got the Z6 of all things, to shoot video. I am getting the following odd message when I try to set the "picture control" or "white balance": "This option is not available at current settings or in the camera's current state." I thought maybe those features applied only to 4K video, or HD. I thought you could adjust those settings for in-camera recording. I watched videos as other owners set up a picture setting (and not attaching their camera to an Atomos recorder/monitor), but I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Thanks so much, Best, Arnie
