Do you mean live view? There's a LV switch right next to the mode dial, pull the LV lever toward you.

I have a D500 w/500mm 5.6 PF lens that I have been trying to set up to take photos when it obtains focus in AF-C mode. In Menus a. Autofocus > a1 AF-C priority selection AND in a2 AF-S priority selection both of the choices, release and focus priorities, each of the settings take photos when not in focus. I have even tried resetting it to factory settings to see if it wouldn't take a photo until it was focussed. My D7200/Tamron 150-600 G2 combo acts the same as my D500/500mm 5.6 PF, while my D750/24-70G ED takes a photo in AF-C but not in AF-S when it's not in focus. Is there another setting that I am missing that would enable my D500 to not take a photo in AF-C mode until it focusses on my subject?

Hi everyone.

I have a Godox TT685 flash for Fujifilm. My camera is Nikon d5500.I have a Godox X2T flash trigger for Nikon.I thought it would be fully compatible with my Godox flash for Fuji. When I attach the trigger on my camera ,the shutter speed does not go beyond sync speed of the camera even if the godox for Fuji flash is not on.Do I have to have a dedicated Godox flash for Nikon to activate hss?Any help will be highly appreciated.thanks a lot.

The D5500 doesn't support Auto FP so, the x-sync speed can't exceed 1/200 shutter speed. You need a higher end body that supports Auto FP in order to use the trigger and flash in HSS mode.

I ended up sending it in to Nikon to have it repaired. Nikon quoted $564.50 for the repair with shipping included. I've had it for the last couple weeks and so far, it's been working flawlessly.

I bought a used 500mm 5.6 PF lens with a Zemlin hood that worked fine until I noticed today that it wouldn't focus to infinity. It focussed fine after manually turning the focus ring past infinity but, when I auto-focused at a closer distance, which worked fine, and then tried to focus further, it again didn't focus at a distance past a 100 yards or so. It focuses fine up to about 100 yards but further than that it doesn't until I manually turn the focus ring past the infinity mark. I also noticed a little play when I held the front of the lens and slightly moved it back and forth and I could see the distance indicator moving a couple millimeters. I tried the lens on a D500 and D750, toggled the A/M M/A, Full infinity-8m settings on the lens and both the AF-ON (AFC d25) and Sub-selector (spot). I also wiped the lens and body contacts with an alcohol swab. Anything else I can try before sending it in to Nikon for repair? If I chose Nikon's maintenance rather than repair, would they fix the issue or would they charge me for the repair?
