    This photo "speaks" to me for reasons I may not be able to articulate. It's obviously a European city, I would guess very old, but vibrant and full of modern life. Setting the triple-lamp post just to the right of center makes this perfect. The even, diffuse mid-day lighting works very well. I feel like I'm there.

     

    Thank you for including "large" versions of this fine photo. It's great to be able to study it in detail.

    This is the main square, "Stora torget" in the centre of Uppsala. The building you see behind the lamp post is the university library, Carolina Rediviva, built between 1819 and 1841.
