Trafalgar Square London

Trafalgar Square London

Mayor of London Boris Johnston had just inveiled the blue hen, which was looking over the squre.

I'm curious about which lens you used for this--Nelson's column seems to be rather tilted, and I wondered if it was due to camera tilt for perspective or perhaps barrel distortion in a wide angle lens? Actually everything except for the hen seems tilted a bit. Hm. Can't be barrel distortion then...

That said, I love this view. I haven't been to London in about five years, so this blue hen is new to me.

I have to ask: why a blue hen?

Agree about the tilt, think it may be due to the angle I was attempting to get on the blue hen. The len I used was a Nikon DX 55 - 200. I love sitting about the square as there is always so much to see. Reference the blue hen, here is a link that may fill in the background on that - Boris is current Mayor of London, bit of a an ecentric nutter: Fourth Plinth: Hanh/Cock by Katharina Fritsch rules the roost in Trafalgar Square | Daily Mail Online
