So a couple of blog entries ago, I mentioned that I had the assignment to purposely create a horrible photo for my Project 52 Pros group. I do that by accident sometimes, so doing it purposely was a bit strange. After letting us stew over it for a week, my mentor came back with the second half of the assignment--after taking the horrible photo, we were to take the situation and make it into a good photo. Lots of fun!
So here's my bad photo…
I probably don't need to say much about why this is such a horrible photo--it's pretty self-evident. But I am pretty proud of a few details, like the slightly tilted photo, spotty light, ugly dead weeds, and the super small aperture that gives way too much depth of field (along with her placement right next to the flowers).
And here is my attempt at making it better...
Kind of a fun assignment.
Next assignment: the incredible sandwich. Mmmmm…thinking of a certain fresh fig, prosciutto, and manchego cheese sandwich.

Nicely done. Really like your 'new and improved version'.
