Help with D 50

Posted by Hoodoo, 20 June 2020 · 1,213 views

I'm new to this forum and not sure how it works. I'm looking for some advice with my D 50. I purchased it used a few years ago and it has worked great up until recently. I couldn't get the SD card to download on my computer and then the camera seemed to have no memory. I suspected a bad card so I bought a new one but now I have no display on the back of the camera and can't figure out how to get the display turned on. I can't format a new card without it. Before I send it away for service I thought I'd see if anyone on this sight could offer advice. Thanks.

Your post is in the wrong section. But here is my 2 cents. Your camera may have died on you. The D50 I believe is an older discontinued model. I had a D80 die on me and could not be repaired because of the lack of parts. The digital cameras are like computers, if you can buy it they are obsolete. The D5600 would be an ideal replacement for you. Check it out.
