Lime Kiln Trail

Posted by Ignacior, 21 February 2015 · 1,387 views

Some shots of an old lime Kiln that was built in 1890. There used to be a logging operation here. The entire area is covered in the brightest green moss I've even seen. The trail is about 3 miles long each way and the old kiln is at the end, the locals say it sneaks up on you, they compare to old mayan ruins were it just pops up out of nowhere. They weren't lying. I was standing about 20 feet from it when i saw it and the thing is about 25 feet high. the pictures truly don't do it justice.

What a cool place to visit and photograph! Nice job documenting it--those greens are vibrant (I know you're not really a Photoshop guy, so I know that's the real green--impressive).
