I only have one Egret......

Posted by Ignacior, 15 March 2014 · 1,336 views

See what i did there?

Just walked up on this guy while starting off my hike this morning. He just stood there for about a minute and then flew into the tree. Most of the time these Egrets are the first to spook but this one just kind of hung out for while. My dog spotted him first and he just froze, I think he was just as surprised as me.

Some of the local scenery.....

Posted by Ignacior, 10 March 2014 · 590 views

There was a time when i was younger that i was seriously impressed with graffiti art. There's been a slight change

When I was growing up the artists where these larger than life outlaw types. Everyone knew who they were except the police. They where what we called "Hood Famous". Now i look at these newer guys and they just cant come close to older guys....

On A stroll around the pond

Posted by Ignacior, 19 January 2014 · 554 views

Just on a walk around the pond, these are basically what I see all the time.

Hummingbirds, Hawks, Ducks and some Dog. Theres actually much more out there, i just didnt get any decent shots of them.

I wonder how the dog knows the plants that are safe to eat? or maybe he has no clue and hes slowly poisoning himself. Im gonna go with instinct

Beach Day with the Kid.

Some random shots of the day. He loves being around the water.

This is Winter in San Diego BTW...

This guy gets it....

I watched groups of these guys flying by for about an hour in the same direction. And this one comes by all alone and in the opposite direction.

Sometimes you have to go against the grain.

Birds and Bees....

Posted by Ignacior, 24 December 2013 · 446 views

Well, more birds than bees anyway. Just some random pics i took while out on a hike with my pup. I tend not to shoot too many birds. Not really sure why, i just never think to do it.

Actually, i think its cause I never end up happy with the result.

Maybe I'll start doing more. Practice makes perfect and all.....

The fence

Posted by Ignacior, 17 December 2013 · 610 views

On the lower right hand side of this shot you see the start of the fence that separates the U.S and Mexico. Its actually quite depressing sometimes when your actually there. Some people go there to see family because neither can go across.

You can also see both a Bullfighting area (I hate bullfighting) and a light house right next to it. And as an added...

San Diego Bay

Posted by Ignacior, 10 December 2013 · 568 views

Went for a quick walk on the bay. This is from "Harbor Island", in the shots you see Downtown SD and to the right is Coronado island which is the most common place ppl takes pics of the skyline. I went to another side.

The last pic with what looks like to be bad weather was taken on a different day.

Although these are of the same place you will notic...

The View Outside

This is the view outside my friends front porch, it overlooks the harbor and SD airport.

Not bad at all.

And not as loud as you would expect.

First try

Posted by Ignacior, 25 November 2013 · 579 views

I picked up my first DSLR just over 9 months ago, last February actually and this is my first real attempt to shoot something at night. Im by no stretch of the imagination a religious man, but those Mormon's sure know how to put together a temple.

This is the Mormon temple in La Jolla CA. the place is absolutely beautiful in the day and at night its eve...

After the storm

Posted by Ignacior, 23 November 2013 · 471 views

San Diego was hit by a little baby storm the last couple of days so i went out to check out the sunset at sunset cliffs today. Crazy what the sky looks like after some rain.

At first i thought it would be great to be out on that boat, then i thought they probably dont have the view i got.

What a day.

Posted by Ignacior, 16 November 2013 · 618 views

Woke up early to hike up El Capitan mt here in San Diego. The plan was just to hike up, get some shots along the way and come down for lunch with my buddies. The hike up went without a hitch, at the bottom of the mountain is a place called Oakoasis, its basically an oak grove in a canyon you have to hike down into. Now me and friends all work in the EMS f...

I need some tips

Posted by Ignacior, 11 November 2013 · 1,019 views

A friend of mine asked me to help her out with a family function at a banquette hall in a couple of weeks. Im sure i have everything i need, but im worried about struggling with the lighting since it will be indoors. I take 99% of my shots outdoors. I have a speedlight/external flash. The only real time I shoot indors is for my own family functions but tha...

Mr. Murphy

Posted by Ignacior, 09 November 2013 · 579 views

So, Mr. Murphy of Murphy's law fame decided to tag along for my little trip today.

I wake up at 0400, grab the dog and some food as well as my gear and head out into the mountains. The plan was to get to Lake Morena in time for sunrise. Southern California is know for its Sunsets, but you have to head east to catch a good sunrise. So i leave my place my...
