I use this lens in combination with my D800 and I absolutely love it. I find it sharper than my 70-200 2.8 VRII and use the longer focal lengths for portrait and sorter for landscape. It's a great walk around lens as well.

The build quality is great, very solid and durable.

This lens is a real work worse, it's build like a tank, fast focus and really sharp.

This lens is the one I use the most and the one I regularly keep on the camera. Results are excellent and I really find the range from 24mm - 70mm very useful. I currently use it on my D4s but have also used it on a D200 and a D3s, both of which I traded in to buy my D4s. I would highly recommend this lens.
