I have a Nikon Coolpix S4100 and the screen is white with an odd shape in it along with vertical lines.  There's no crack in it but I'm wondering if this can be fixed.  I attached a photo.

Thanks guys.  :-)

Even so you don't have a crack on the outside glass, there is one inside.

The good news is that the problem is most likely limited to the screen, the bad news is that the screen needs being replaced, which will most likely be more expensive (if done in a repair shop) than buying a new camera.

You may however try to get an offer for the repair.

If you feel comfortable in manual and electronic works you can also replace the screen yourself. You can get a replacement screen here

Replacing it will require to remove some screws, removing the old screen and properly fitting the two cable plugs, before fixing again everything with the screws.
