Hi, I've been trying to come up with a logo, not only for my website but also something i'd be happy to have on a business card or social media.
I've come up with this. Any feedback much appreciated.

It works well on screen, but I am not sure how true e05c5c will print. A colour that has so little Cyan and no Key in the CMYK render will be very dependent on the paper stock to get predictable prints. This means either taking the time for sending proofs or going to 5-plate if the colour is an important part of the logotype. How would it look if you went with b54544 or something like that instead? Much easier for the printshop for letterheads and business cards.
Rob, i immediately think of the snow-capped Rocky Mountains, possibly a river. Only because we are on a photo website and we get to see your work, do we know it is about photography. Is your business more than photography? If so, I stand corrected. As with Peter, I think the red is weak, but when I was in the printing business we worked with PMS 185 a lot, and maybe I am just drawn to that shade of red.
Idea: If your business is all about photography, how about making the O in the name look like a lens shutter?
Good luck with the design.

Thanks Deano, Peter, much appreciated. The color isn't an issue and I could go with any, I just chose this one as I quite liked it onscreen, I'd not thought about the printing process. I'll have a look at a better more usable color.
I like the idea of the camera lens I'll try a few more designs and see what works.
Thanks again for the feedback
Pretty cool.
Question: do you need the wording "Photography" when the icon illustrates a photographer?
However, people totally unfamiliar with photography may need the wording to understand.
This one is nice as a standalone. For a letterhead, I would reduce the photographer silhouette in size a bit and align the lower edge of the two elements, coupled with a separator line in the same red.
For a business card, I would use it centered vertically on the left with the contact information on the right and use the silhouette as the separator. You might use Bringing the World to Life in a proportionally larger font to get it easily readable in that size.
