Sometime before midnight (whatever time zone you are in) this Sunday, 30 October 2016, post the best photo you have taken this week. Any subject, any style—just give us your best shot.

If you can, list your EXIF info and any special lighting setups you may have used.

P.S. The editing exercise is up and running again for fall—come play with us (and feel free to play around in the old exercises too).

P.P.S. Also check out the music inspiration challenges. Some very cool stuff going on in there!

At first glance I was not in love with this arrangement, however after giving more consideration I decided to take a chance.

It isn't always easy to comply with the rule of thirds, but I believe this turned out quite well.

Many thanks for viewing.

Rgds,  Tony

EXIF:  Nikon D70 body with AF Zoom Nikkor 35~70mm F/3.3~4.5mm N Lens.

1/125s, F/5.6, ISO @200, used onboard flash, Focal Length @60mm and used Pattern Metering.

Winter is getting near... My winter bike is almost ready to use. A couple of small details still to do, like a piece of vinyl tape or two more to fix the cable to the rear light, a p-clamp to mount the relocated rack strut and new wheel reflectors.

Went out for a walk at a local Iron Works Historic Site and came across an interesting couple in costumes being photographed.  I normally don't ask people if I can take their picture (I don't take pictures of strangers) but couldn't resist this time.  They had a photographer with them setting up but they didn't seem to be professional models.  They had no problem with me taking their picture.  I love this picture of the girl.

Halloween Festival, Manassas VA.

Leica M9, collapsible (1950s) 9cm F4 Elmar wide-open.

They start SO early looking at selfies.

M Monochrom, also with the 9cm F4. This is a classic 4element/3group Tessar formula lens.It is not a Telephoto design, it is a long-focal length anastigmat.

The Monochrom images are run through my software to add a Gamma curve and convert to 16-bits/pixels, then through Lightroom.

Coming out of a 5-month "Tron-Out" to get a computer project done. Hope to get out for more shooting and post on a more regular basis!

Getting my Dani Diamond on for this one. Was from a shoot with a couple models for a new agency that I have not yet worked with. I got the feeling we (the lady who runs the agency and I) were checking each other out for future work. Also a rare natural light portrait from me.

And a couple more. Busted out the lights for these ones.

And a wide angle portrait for something different.
