For the second time in the week I found myself down on the South bank of the Mersey. This time I took a break near to Eastham on the Wirral peninsular. It is a village close to where the Manchester Ship Canal starts and is where a ferry used to run across the river. The stone part of the boarding pier is still there and serves as a viewing outlook with one of those sets of binoculars that you put money in to take a look around. It was very windy and it was tough to get a good stance, even using the stout iron railing!
