Some big cats and dogs.....and a Zebra.

Posted by Ignacior, 21 March 2015 · 2,360 views

I have a love/hate relationship with zoos, i understand that they are a necessary evil and they play a major role in wildlife conservation but they are also really depressing.
Its sad to me to see these animals in their enclosures because no matter what, the inclosure is not big enough. The animals don't get to hunt for food, they don't really live the l...

Lime Kiln Trail

Posted by Ignacior, 21 February 2015 · 1,388 views

Some shots of an old lime Kiln that was built in 1890. There used to be a logging operation here. The entire area is covered in the brightest green moss I've even seen. The trail is about 3 miles long each way and the old kiln is at the end, the locals say it sneaks up on you, they compare to old mayan ruins were it just pops up out of nowhere. They weren...

Its my first ever shot of both an Eagle and the Great Blue Heron.

Gas Works park/Seattle

Posted by Ignacior, 28 September 2014 · 1,241 views

I guess this old park was at one point some kind of gas facility . Its an interesting place but was hell to shoot at night. I struggled with light the whole time I was there. So I'm not completely happy with the results.

The lighthouse is the Mulkiteo lighthouse, its right next to the ferry to Whidbey island.

Ive been living in Washington for almost a...

Long Beach/L.A

Posted by Ignacior, 24 August 2014 · 1,126 views

Spent the week working in L.A count, unfortunately I didn't have much time to shoot as I was working long hours during the day. I did get out to long beach harbor and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown L.A Unfortunately some work crews were setting up an event at the concert hall for the weekend so the angle where i shot from was the only place you...

If anyone has any tips on this stuff i would welcome it.

I might go on a night photo binge for a while.

Sometimes You Get Lucky.

Driving into along the side of Otay lake and I watched this hawk snatch a fish out of the water and land on a tree right next to me. Jumped out of the car and unpacked my gear as fast as I could.
Ive been in the habit of taking some test shots when I first get to a spot to make sure all my settings are the way I want them. For times just like this. Normal...

San Diego Harbor At Night

Posted by Ignacior, 09 June 2014 · 749 views

Night photography is not my strong suit thats for sure. I took a bunch of pics while on a walk on the harbor in Downtown San Diego. These are the ones I liked most.

I especially like the one of the Coronado Bay Bridge lights running across the frame.

I think i may head back down this weekend and have another crack at it. Not really satisfied with what I...

Drive down the coast

Posted by Ignacior, 10 May 2014 · 1,072 views

Trying to work on my landscapes. Im still never happy with how my landscape shots come out. Its very possible that im just being too critical of myself. Im gonna keep at it.

On a lighter note, the seagull stood on the others back for about a minute or so. Not sure what was going on there.

Murals At Chicano park.

Posted by Ignacior, 23 March 2014 · 1,218 views

This park is underneath the start of the Coronado Bay Bridge and I5 in barrio Logan. It has ton of history both good and bad as it is in one of the most crime ridden neighborhoods in San Diego. The park was built in the early 70's after the Coronado Bay bridge was built over part of the neighborhood displacing many families. The state was going to make th...
